Resilience & Renewal:
A Retreat for Health Care Professionals
Cedar Valley Retreat Center
W5349 County Rd. D West Bend, Wisconsin 53090 September 18-20, 2014 Retreat begins at 6:00 p.m. Thursday and ends at noon on Saturday Discount for registering by August 15! At this time of change and uncertainty in health care, this is an opportunity to rediscover why you’ve chosen a profession that involves caring for others - and how you can deal with the stresses and strains of your work.
This two-day Courage & Renewal retreat for health care professionals will explore the heart of the work we do. What are the touchstones that make our work meaningful? What practices can we develop to be more resilient to the stress of change? How can we be wholehearted about our work and bring who we are into our clinical environment? Resilience & Renewal: A Retreat for Health Care Professionals will follow the guidelines for Circle of Trust retreats and will help you:
The retreat will include group interaction, opportunities to share stories, periods of silence, poetry, music, and time for journaling and individual reflection. What you choose to say will be confidential, and we will follow guidelines that respect each other’s experience. No one is required to share personal information or stories, and we refrain from fixing, advising, or correcting each other. We want this to be a time for exploration and renewal - and we’ll have some fun as well! |
Resilience & Renewal takes place at Cedar Valley Retreat Center, a beautiful 24-room retreat center set in 100 acres of Wisconsin's Kettle Morain countryside about an hour south of Appleton. The fee includes comfortable lodging for two nights, excellent meals, and coffee, tea and snacks throughout the day.

Feedback from Dr. Bellg’s Mindful Care retreats
I heard great ideas from you and the group re daily practices and things I can do for myself, my colleagues, and patients… I can’t wait to do it here at work. I so appreciated how you conducted the retreat – your passion for what you do is so evident. Thank you! - KT, MD |
I enjoyed the use of the arts, poetry, in particular, to get at the corners and crevices of psyche in a tender and thoughtful way… The mechanics of the retreat could not be improved upon at all, in my opinion… I think this retreat should be made more available to all providers of care. - MM, NP |
