Who I Am
![]() I started out life as a writer and a poet. In my mid-30's, however, I felt led to become a clinical health psychologist. After getting a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Rochester in New York, I did research and practiced health psychology with medical patients and health care professionals for 25 years, working at the Rush Heart Institute in Chicago, with Appleton Cardiology Associates, and in private practice. I'm now retired from that part of my professional life.

My work now is about helping people find the deep insights and understandings they need to find a way of living that is true to who they are. As part of this work, I meet with people individually, lead meditation groups, and facilitate Circle of Trust retreats to help professionals, clergy and others "reconnect who you are with what you do." I've written a book about my life-long journey on that path, Living the Deepest Truth You Know. I've also felt led to join the Religious Society of Friends, where I've found insight and spiritual companions in the Quaker community. If you'd like to explore your own deepest truth as a way forward in your life, I'd be glad to help. I look forward to meeting you! - Albert Bellg |
